This morning, our awesome karate instructors came for our Wednesday karate lessons.  Of course we reviewed the kicks, punches, and blocks we’ve been learning.  Today we kicked it up a notch and combined a lot of our past moves into a new sequence.  Excellent.  We followed that up with…Dr. Warball.  Yes.  Today we played this crazy version of traditional dodgeball.  We also played a round of Extreme Capture the Flag.  Since it was pretty hot, we came back and had a pretty laid-back day.  Hooray for pool!

This Tuesday we hopped on the bus with one of the coolest drivers known to humankind–Marge.  We headed to the Nampa Rec Center and made our way to the pool.  Luckily we snagged some beach balls and played lots of games of keepaway and volleyball.  Some of us even spent the entire time playing basketball.

The Rec Center staff also opened up the diving board and the rope swing for us.  The allure of the rope swing quickly pulled everyone away from the diving board!  The most popular move was a sequence known as the “Spiderman” which was difficult to achieve and can only be explained to you by your teen.  Naturally, such daring aeronautic feats are a little tiring and we spent the rest of the afternoon chilling and playing cards and pool.

This Thursday we are NOT going to Pojo’s.  Due to some transportation difficulties, we’ll head down the street to the huge water fountain in Eagle.  Bring a couple bucks if you’d like a snow cone.  And prepare to get wet.  If you want to get really wet, a swimsuit is a good idea.  Woot!
