So,,,25 teens already signed up for our camp! We are really excited. Our first 3 days have been filled with fun games, crazy water slide excitment and silly ghost stories. We have had some computer problems and some camera problems so we haven’t been able to update our website as much as we would have liked and we have yet to take any pictures. I think we have all that figured out and fixed so we’ll have better updates and more pictures from now on
Next week we start our field trips so plesae come back here often for updated schedules and news.

Today we went to the West YMCA for some Xtreme swimming. Of all the places we have been swimming, this is a teen favorite. The pool is a little bigger, they have the cool high dive, a water slide, and it is just a fun place. There was all kinds of craziness going on today ranging from playing “Houdini”, 360’s off the high dive, pool hand stands, speed water sliding, a few face plants off the low and high dives, and various dunking games. Lunch consisted of the usual trading of food and snacks. The day ended with check-out (camp name, favorite part of the day, appreciations, and any unfinished business followed by add-ons). Just another sweet swim day at Xtreme 678.
Hi Parents,
This Thursday August 7th, we are going to hike to Stack Rock. This means we will have to leave the Teen Center a little earlier that usual. We will leave at 8:30 A.M.
The teens need good shoes. If a teen shows up in flip flops or shoes that are not appropriate for hiking they will not be allowed to come on the trip and will have to be picked up by parents or guardians since there will be nothing for teens to do until 2:30 P.M. when the field trip people will be back.
The teens will need at least two bottles of water or Gatorade, a lunch, a snack, sun screen, hat, and whatever else will make their hiking easier (perhaps a backpack for their stuff).
Looking forward to a Xtreme hike!

Friday July 25th we had somewhat of a relaxed day as we just chilled and hung out. We later in the afternoon did our “Friday Feast”. We feasted together on some grilled chicken ceasar salad, delicious bread from Rembrandt’s Coffeehouse and our now very famous “Green Smoothies”.
Monday July 28 we started the day out with the “Smart teens” class and then played some volley ball and 4 way tug of war.
Tuesday July 29th we headed to the Nampa Rec center for some swimming. We had a blast and again watched much bravery from the teens as the staff at the Rec Center had opened the high dive and the rope swing for us.
Wednesday July 30th we had our last karate lesson, THANK YOU IDAHO MARTIAL ARTS for the 10 weeks of free Karate instruction. we then played some volley ball and a few games of dodge ball.
Thursday July 31st we headed for Pojo’s and the staff there hooked us up with s sweet deal and we spent the first part of the day watching teens have a lot of fun gathering those well sought after red tickets.
We had lunch and then played some more. We then headed back to the teen center for some green smoothies.

We did our check in at the teen center because we needed to leave just a little later than usual because of our booked time slot at Peak Fitness. It all worked out nice and there was a sense of excitement in the air. We arrived at Peak Fitness a little early and some of us had an early lunch. We then spend the rest of our field trip climbing the walls at Peak Fitness. It was awesome! It was really great seeing the teens help each other out, encouraging each other and just having a great time. We again saw some great efforts, and teens challenging themselves to climb higher and higher. So cool! We got back at the teen center and spent the rest of the day hanging out, shooting some pool and just having fun.
A Big Thank You to Pete at Peak Fitness!

We were treated like royalty when we arrived at the Down Town YMCA, well almost. We got to keep all of our stuff down tin their teen center and we got some free lunches as well later on. Really nice. The Staff at the Down Town YMCA were so nice and fun. We spent the first part of the day Rock Climbing. This was a nice warm up for Thursday, when we will spend our whole field trip rock climbing. After our time on the walls we had lunch and then we went swimming where we watched some great courage and bravery from some of the teens jumping off the strange but Xtreme high-dive style water slide. We had a lot of fun doing “Cannon Balls” and just being a little crazy. We then got ready to head back to the teen center. We were all a little tired from all the fun so the rest of the afternoon was pretty relaxed.

We started off with our “Smart teens” class today. The teens seemed to really like it. We then spent some time just hanging out. We did our check out around 2:00 PM. It was a pretty relaxed day and a good “rest” for our very exciting day tomorrow. We wanted to let you know that we have changed our swim adventure location from Eagle Island State park to the Downtown Boise Family YMCA. We will be leaving the Teen Center tomorrow, Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m. sharp. We will arrive and rock climb from 11 to 12 noon, have lunch from 12 to 12:30 p.m., and then swim from 12:30 to 1:45-2 p.m. It’s going to be an awesome day!
This trip will be really good preparation for our Thursday adventure trip to Peak Fitness Indoor Rock Climbing Gym in Boise. The first twenty-two campers to sign up and pay for these trips get to go. To see our schedule for the rest of the summer, go to

After our Check In this morning the teens requested that we “Chillax” and just hang out in the Teen Center. That seemed like a good idea since most of us were a little tired from our hike yesterday. After some time of “Chillaxing” a group of the teens decided they had enough of the resting part of the day and decided to get some games of “Xtreme 4-Way-Tug-ofWar” going. That was a lot of fun.
We had a relaxed lunch and continued the afternoon with more “Chillaxing”(which is a mix of “chillin” and relaxing
). At 4:00 PM, we started our “Friday Feast”. The “Feast” included Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad, fresh Italian-Style Bread, Green Smoothies and boy, the teens were hungry. They ate everything. We also cleaned the place and it looks great.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT MONDAY WE GO SKATING AT IDAHO ICE WORLD. THE BUS LEAVES AT 10:30 AM, AND ONLY THE FIRST 22 TEENS THAT HAVE PAID THE $5.00 TRIP FEE CAN GO DUE TO LIMITED SPACE ON THE BUS. THERE WILL BE NO OTHER ACTIVITIES AT THE TEEN CENTER UNTIL WE GET BACK FROM SKATING BETWEEN 2:00 PM AND 2:30 PM.

Our newly named bus “Moby Dick” rolled out of the parking lot around 10:30 AM and headed towards Table rock. A very bubbly and excited Xtreme 678 crew did check in on the bus. We arrived at the Penitentiary, grabbed our lunches and started the hike. Some teens ran, some teens walked, there was a small group of teens that stopped half-way up and rested. The main part of the group arrived up on Tablerock and enjoyed lunch there. We then went and did some Xtreme rock climbing, took some pictures and headed towards the bus. We did have a couple of wipe-outs on the way down, but nothing to serious.
We got to the bus and bandaged the “wounded” and headed back to the Teen Center. We did our check out and spent the rest of the after noon listening to music and drinking green smoothies.

Today our day started with our wonderful friends from Idaho Martial Arts instructing us in some Karate. We then spent some time just hanging out playing games in the teen center. We had lunch and then we played some “DR. War Ball” and then …well…then we played what has become known as “Xtreme Xtreme Spongebob”. It is hard to describe but you can be sure that most teens get really wet when we play it. Staff as well. Have them explain it to you. We then did our check out and spent the rest of the day having fun.
We are going to Table Rock tomorrow. Make sure your teen has paid and is wearing good shoes tomorrow.
We are not going to Gowen Field next week. That date has been moved. We will go on the 31st of July instead. On Thursday next week we will go swimming at the YMCA.
