Rickard Bjerkander

Teen Director

Rickard was born and raised in the beautiful country of Sweden where he volunteered for a faith-based organization as a consultant for the organization’s youth initiative. He also worked for a drug and alcohol recovery center in Gothenburg Sweden. He continued working with youth after moving to California in 1991 where he worked for an organization doing international cross-cultural training, mainly for youth. After moving to Idaho in 1995, he worked for the Meridian School District’s Interim Alternative Placement Program for 4 years. He currently serves as the Youth Director at the Landing Teen Center where you will find him day after day hanging out with teenagers, offering guidance and support in their lives. Rickard is an avid rock fan and can even sometimes be found playing guitar and singing his favorite choice of music, 80’s hair metal.
